Welcome to stunning Ledgeview! The Town of De Pere was established on March 8, 1839, by the Wisconsin Territorial Legislature and is the second oldest town in contiguous existence in Brown County. Whether you’re into geotourism or you just want to see a world-famous geologic feature first-hand, Ledgeview is likely near the top of your “must visit” list. Here, you can get up close and personal with a large section of the Niagara Escarpment, a 400 million-year-old geologic foundation that stretches for nearly 1,000 miles across the Great Lakes region. In Wisconsin, the Niagara Escarpment is referred to as “The Ledge” which is where Ledgeview gets its name!
Parks and Recreation
Ledgeview incorporates over 90 acres of programmed park space in 7 different parks, 1.8 miles of paved recreation trails, over 70 acres of conservancy and greenspace, and an 18 hole public golf course. Athletic facilities include two state of the art, turf baseball diamonds, a softball/little league field, and 5 multi-purpose athletic fields.
Fonferek’s Glen Conservancy Area
You could spend hours here enjoying the massive 75-acre county park and all of its magnificent views. This geological gem is part of the Niagara Escarpment and it features a 30-foot waterfall, dolomite cliffs, and a gorgeous stone archway, perfect for a picnic or photo backdrop.
Ledgeview Bike Loops
Ledgeview is a popular place to bike due to the fairly low-trafficked roads, scenic beauty, and flat topography. There are four different bike loops that both residents and visitors can enjoy:

Each loop was designed for a different difficulty level, from the more casual rider to the seasoned bicyclist. So, grab your bike and try them out!
Ledgeview Golf Course
The Town purchased Ledgeview Golf Course in 2019 in order to preserve development rights and to keep the beautiful viewshed as part of Ledgeview’s heritage in perpetuity.
